This year, we decided to use OpenReview to handle submissions of contributed abstracts. We did so mainly because OpenReview does not charge any fee. Having a free-of-charge platform for handling submissions is important for keeping the costs of the conference as low as possible, as well as the participation fees. OpenReview is not only free of charge but it is also a well-established platform used by several world-class conferences.
OpenReview allows for making the text and scores of reviews public. However, we set the system in such a way that reviews can be seen only by the authors and the assigned reviewers. The review process remains double-blind, meaning that both the names of the authors and of the reviewers are not disclosed during the entire process.
